Sean was born on March 6, 2000 in Corpus Christi, Texas to his parents, Norman Way and Kela Huey. He was raised from birth by his paternal grandparents, Pastor Leroy and Linda Roundtree, whom he lovingly called “Mama” and “PaPa.”

Sean was a member of The Lord’s Church (TLC) ministry under the care of Pastor Leroy Roundtree. He graduated from Duval County Public Schools on June 4, 2018.

Sean spent his life bringing joy to everyone he met. No matter what he might have been going through, he always kept a smile on his face. He loved racing with Josh Schuette as a member of the Ainsley’s Angels organization, with whom he participated in several 5k marathons. Sean loved the Jacksonville Jaguars, Power Rangers, WWE wrestlers, riding in the truck with his “PaPa” and listening to gospel music.

Sean departed this life on February 9, 2019. He was preceded in death by both his great grandmothers, Ms. Lucille Jones and Mrs. Viola Roundtree.

Sean leaves to mourn his passing: grandparents, Pastor Leroy and Linda Roundtree; parents, Norman Way and Kela Huey; uncle and aunt, Jeff Way and Tracie Trevino; two sisters, special friends, Myron Cooper, Josh Schuette and Verdell Barrington; church family of TLC; great aunts and uncles, and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

I am sadden to learn of Sean’s passing. I think of him often. He was a beautiful soul. One of my favorite patients. It was a joy to know him. Mama and Papa, know that I am praying for all of you. Love from your Pedi ICU nurse at Valley Baptist in Harlingen, Tx.

We are sorry to hear of Sean's death. We never had the pleasure of meeting him, but we are so honored to hear about his love for life. It gives us great pleasure to remind the Roundtree family of what God will do for humankind, including Sean, and the earth. As you know, the first human couple was to fill the earth with perfect humans that would never grow old, get sick, or die.--Genesis 2:15-17. John 3:16 guarantees us that by means of Jesus' ransom sacrifice, sickness and death will be eradicated allowing obedient humans to enjoy perfect health and live forever. When God's Messianic Kingdom rules the earth from the heavens, "No resident will say: I am sick."--Isaiah 33:24. At that time, "God will swallow up death forever." We have no idea what perfect humans look like, but we are sure that all of us though different will be beautiful to Jehovah. This is the real life our heavenly Father promises us. We hope that we can meet and greet Sean when he is resurrected on God's restored paradise earth.--Acts 24:15; Luke 23:43.

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of such a beautiful soul. I did not have the privilege of knowing Sean, but hearing about him has touched my heart. I pray God's love and mercy sustain you as you face the difficult days ahead without Sean and that you are comforted by the words of the Lord Jesus at John 6:40; Rev.21:3-5.

Though I've only had the pleasure of knowing Sean for just a couple years I can tell you he has been an angel long before he recieved his wings! My husband would often talk about how one young man would swing by to visit him, often delivering pictures he colored and smiles to go along with them. Sean would usually be the highlight of Josh's work days. Thankfully, after several months of hearing about Sean I met the fun-loving boy who would warm my heart as well! I enjoyed seeing the two race together with Sean pumping his fists and arms in the air with excitement! Sean, you and your family have made a lasting impression in my heart as well as the hearts of Josh & Sawyer. We miss you buddy! Big, tight hugs to you Leroy, Linda & the rest of Sean's loved ones. Love always, Sarah Schuette A.k.a Team Sean's Number One Fan!!!
